The engine continues to rev up for F1 25 before its release in May. Last week, EA Sports revealed its first deep dive into the game’s newly revamped My Team. However, the latest deep dive highlights F1’s authenticity & customization features.
F1 25 Authenticity & Customization Deep Dive
The EA Sports F1 series continues to bring full authenticity in terms of tracks with its new LIDAR technology. This year, Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola circuits have been digitally scanned and rebuilt with LIDAR tech. The result is, players will feel every bump and detail the same F1 drivers will on race day.
In addition to the LIDAR technology upgrades, Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring can now be raced in reverse. Players can experience these tracks in a new way in Grand Prix, Time Trial, Multiplayer, and Career Mode.
Audio Improvements
Over the last two interactions of F1, EA Sports has focused on the audio side of the game. Last year, F1 24 featured real dialogue from drivers when they took pole, crashed, or won a race. This year, the developers are adding more lines and radio sequences. Drivers will even directly address the race engineer. EA mentions that the race dialogue has “almost doubled” since last year’s game.
More Customization
F1 25 will feature a new Decal Editor that pushes players’ imaginations to the limits. This year, players can take customization to the “next level.” Players can personalize their F1 cars with new movable, rotatable, and resizable sponsor decals.
