LIDAR, also known as Light Detection and Ranging scanning, allowed Codemasters to scan tracks like Bahrain and Miami, generating millions of access points. The result is not only better graphic fidelity but also more accurate tracks. Players will feel every turn, bump, and elevation change in the following five featured tracks: Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola.

“F1® 25 takes a big step forward when it comes to graphical fidelity. Not only do the tracks look better than ever, but they’re much more accurate too, thanks to Light Detection and Ranging scanning, also known as LIDAR.“

In addition to the LIDAR tech, the gameplay deep dive showed off some of the presentation changes in F1 25. The game featured new potem celebration animations and over 1000 new lines of race radio dialogue.

Reverse is the way to go…

One of the more interesting features of F1 25 is the ability to race tracks in reverse. In the final race of the video, Zandvoort, known for its twisting, quick finish, has players starting with quick turns and proximity. This feature makes for some interesting racing and unexpected fun.
