Forza Motorsport will be released on October 10 this year. The latest Forza game will be available on the Xbox Series X/S with Game Pass, and the Windows PC platform Steam. Despite it being the 8th in the Forza Motorsport series, it has dropped the number to kick off a reboot of the franchise.

Over 500 cars

A sleek new trailer showcased gameplay footage and gave a glimpse into what fans of the racing sim can expect. In a previous interview with Turn 10, creative director Chris Esaki made bold claims of this Forza being “the most technically advanced racing game ever made”. Considering the success and critical acclaim for Forza Horizon 5, it’s impossible to brush off his words lightly. Coming with the news of a release date, the trailer has confirmed an extensive customization tool allowing you to tune the car to how you want to drive it. Boasting a 4k rendering option at 60fps gives for a gorgeous view, with the roaring sound from the trailer making simulation fans take notice.

Confirmed cars so far

The focus of the trailer was the Corvette E-Ray and Cadillac R-Series, which are the featured cover stars of Forza Motorsport. The E-Ray isn’t on sale in any dealerships until 2024, so this will be the first chance for someone to drive one, virtually at least. Along with these are fan favorites BMW M8 GTE, Nissan 370Z, and the Lamborghini Huracan EVO. There is a downgrade from Forza Motorsport 7, which had over 700 cars but Turn 10 has said this game will have more modern cars than all previous Forza titles. The full list of cars will be announced closer to launch, so for now, here is a list of all confirmed cars thus far. Forza is not yet on Steam for pre-order, but you can grab it on day one with Xbox Game Pass.
