Over the past three years of my time at Sports Gamers Online I played loads of sports titles; but one truly stands out in terms of realism and fanfare. That game is Monster Energy Supercross.
After taking a two-year break, Milestone is back with its Supercross series fully built from the ground up brimming with loads of new features.
Monster Energy Supercross 25 Built From The Ground Up
In an Xbox Wire post, Game Director Sebastiano Stefanetto introduces Monster Energy Supercross 25 and discusses what fans can expect.
Firstly, the game is completely built from the ground up with the player in mind. Stefanetto explains that player feedback was the driving force of Supercross 25’s gameplay enhancements.
“Listening to their [the fan’s] feedback was fundamental to crafting a gameplay experience,” Stefanetto said, “that would truly meet the desires of our players, and importantly, the decision to adopt a biannual development plan also allowed us to step up the game technically with the adoption of Unreal Engine 5.”
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, Stefanetto suggests that the engine improves the game’s track durability. In other words, the tracks will tell the story. As riders race through, the ground creates ruts and pockets where it may be difficult to ride through later in the race. This is all possible through the game’s new “rut system.”
“The new ruts system simulates track evolution so that you will have to find the best path for each lap.”
New AI and First Career Mode Details
For the first time ever, Supercross 25 will implement a “Neural AI system.” This technology affects the behavior of riders in-game; including how they approach jumps, turns, and corners.
In the news wire, Stefanetto reveals that Milestone faced two challenges when it came to this system. The devs had to teach the AI how to handle the new rut system and air sections. With these technological achievements, the AI can race on user-generated tracks created by the community.
Lastly, Stefanetto gives fans some small details about the game’s new Career Mode. He said, “The new AI is also an important element of the fresh career mode we have developed.” Stefanetto continued, “Here you’ll become an integral part of the Supercross universe, thanks to a dynamic system full of challenges and tests to become the most successful rider.”
The Game Director couldn’t reveal any more details on the Career Mode but he suggests that more details will be revealed in the future.

I’m hoping that they finally add a downloadable content pack of vintage motocross bikes along with some famous riders’ bikes. We need Bob Hannah’s two stroke YELLOW Yamaha! Also, the vintage two stroke Bultaco, Maico, Husqvarna, Cagiva, Can-Am and Montesa bikes should be added within this pack along with the major Japanese brands. I’ve asked them for years now. So have many others. Please Milestone! Thanks!
