Genki Co’s Tokyo Xtreme Racer hits Steam early access on January 23, 2025, and will cost players 29.99 USD.

What is Tokyo Xtreme Racer?

The Tokyo Xtreme Racer series has been around for roughly 18 years, with the first installment being released in 1999. The game has taken on many different iterations but has remained a cult hit amongst fans.

However, with its official return Tokyo Xtreme Racer will enter early access in late January and the developers are hoping fan-feedback will improve the game.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer takes place in a “sealed-off” future of Tokyo. Players will compete for the fastest speed in customized cars and try their luck in Spirit Point battles.

the SP Battle is a unique battle feature based on Spirit Points, a numeric value that quantifies the willpower of drivers.

Not only is your speed tested, master the mind games and break your opponent’s resolve.

  • Blaze through the midnight Shuto Expressway

With the Tokyo Expressway faithfully reproduced, the complex twists and dramatic elevation changes deliver an adrenaline-pumping racing experience that’s as close to the real thing as it gets.

  • Countless rivals with mysterious charm

The race begins with a headlight flash as you face off against rivals with distinctive cars and bold driving styles.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer hits Steam early access on January 23.

When I started choosing a car, there was always a question: should I trust only advertising materials and beautiful pictures? At first I thought that it was enough to take a few test drives, but then I realized that it was important to know how the car behaves in everyday use. I found the drivetime website https://drivetime.pissedconsumer.com/review.html and there are really detailed reviews from owners. They share their experiences, describe the strengths and weaknesses of the cars. After reading multiple opinions, I was sure that I was choosing correctly, and this definitely helped me avoid disappointment.
