WRC 10 Travels Back In Time With New Gameplay Trailer

WRC 10 Gameplay Trailer

The folks over at Nacon are going back in time in the latest WRC 10 trailer. On Monday, the studio released a new gameplay trailer the official FIA World Rally Championship video game. In the video, gamers can see Collin McRae’s iconic Subaru Impreza WRC speed through the 1997 Rallye Sanremo.

McRae’s victory over Tommi Mäkinen and Carlos Sainz in ’97 made for one of the most stunning of his decorated career. This race is available as a historic event for players who pre-ordered the Standard or Deluxe version of WRC 10.

Additionally, WRC 10 pays homage to rally legends of the past with more than 22 other events. The game pays homage to rally racing stars Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier, Carlos Sainz, Peter Solberg, Tommi Mäkinen, Colin McRae, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Walter Röhrl, and more.

WRC 10 launches on September 7 in North America. The title is available on the PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Also, the game will a release on Nintendo Switch, but that’s to be announced at a later date.

WRC 9 SGO Review

Our Kevin Finley gave WRC 9 a spin last year. Here’s some of what he sad to say:

Nacon brought passion and care into the project and it shows. Simulation racing is at its finest and there’s plenty game modes to go around. The revamped Career mode is rich with immersion. It may take a minute or two to get used to all the available options and responsibilities as manager, but the onscreen help and tooltips make it easy to learn as you go.

WRC 9 is modern in its presentation and solid in its understanding of what makes a rally racing simulation game. Controls schemes are simple and intuitive, while more advanced options allow veterans to take their game to the next level. Skill is favored over hand holding, but WRC 9 considers drivers at all levels. Whether bought on sale or picked up at full price, I doubt fans will be disappointed.
