FIFA 23 Features – Hypermotion 2, Career Mode and More

Ahead of the official reveal trailer of FIFA 23, Electronic Arts launched the game’s official website. The website gives us some information on new features and upcoming events for FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 Features

Post-Launch Content

We recently explained that FIFA 23 would feature two world cups: the men’s in Qatar and the women’s in Australia and New Zealand. These international competitions won’t be in the game at launch but will serve as additional post-launch content.

Did I mention for no additional cost?

You won’t have to pay for this feature, which EA doesn’t usually do.

Hypermotion 2 and Gameplay

The sequel to Hypermotion will be the base of FIFA 23’s gameplay. Electronic Arts has explained it as “groundbreaking next-gen technology with twice as much real match data capture.” Last year, Hypermtion brought 4000 new animations to the next-gen FIFA series; however, the technology has exceeded over 6000 true-to-life animations this year.

In addition to Hypermotion’s upgrade, more gameplay tweaks are coming to FIFA 23. A new risk versus award shooting mechanic has been added, along with a fresh take on free kicks, penalties, and corners.

Career Mode

If you have followed my work here on Sports Gamers Online, you’ll know I care a lot about FIFA’s career modes. Last year, FIFA 22’s career mode received a decent update with customizable stadiums and a few updates to player career mode.

This year, Electronic Arts are focusing on your personality as a player and enjoying playable match highlights. We will know more about this mode later; EA tends to dive deeply into what is new in its career mode closer to launch.

FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

Regardless of how you feel about FUT and its egregious microtransactions, this mode is prevalent and receives the most exciting features. FUT 23 brings moments and a revamped chemistry system to FIFA 23. Nothing else is said about this mode, but I’m sure Electronic Arts will explain more closer to launch.

Pro Clubs and Volta

I’ve been told that Pro Club might not receive any massive improvements from last year’s game. However, according to FIFA 23’s website, the mode will receive updates to drop-in matches and customization.

Volta Football continues to stay in the game and receives updates every year. Not much info is given this time on Volta, but we will know more soon.

So what do you think about some new features coming to FIFA 23? let us know in the comments
