FIFA 23 Welcomes Juventus Following EA Deal with Italian Club

FIFA 23 Juventus

One of the most renown EA Sports titles, FIFA 23, is set to release soon. The new launch also celebrates accordingly with the return of one of the biggest teams in Europe returning to the fold. Italian giants, Juventus, has not been part of the franchise for the past three years. The rights to using the team had been held exclusively by Konami for Pro Evolution Soccer, now eFootball.

Juventus Returns to FIFA 23

The return of Juventus to the FIFA franchise comes at an interesting time in the team’s history. For nine straight seasons, between 2011-12 and 2019-20, Juventus reigned dominantly in Serie A, winning the title every year. However, the team has spent a couple of seasons in the shadows.

First, Inter Milan and their city rivals, AC Milan, won the title in each of the last two terms. However now, with Massimiliano Allegri back in charge, things are looking a little more promising for Juventus, and indeed their odds of banking another Championship are more in line with the chances of striking success at new online casinos for Canadians.

Their return to the FIFA series will certainly appease fans of the club who will want to represent their heroes in the widely popular series. FIFA is one of the best-selling in the video gaming world, however, that may soon change. EA is parting company with FIFA, the governing body for world soccer. As a result, EA will be launching their flagship soccer game as EA Sports FC.

Interestingly, FIFA will look to find a new partner for a new licensed game, and its president Gianni Infantino has come out fighting in terms of just what players can expect, saying:

“I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans… The FIFA name is the only global, original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25, and FIFA 26, and so on — the constant is the FIFA name, and it will remain forever and remain the best.”

Anyone looking to dethrone EA and EA Sports FC will have quite a battle on their hands. The current title has sold in excess of 325 million copies and ranks as the best-selling video game franchise across the globe. Despite the name change, many are likely to still pick up next year’s game. EA has even gone on record to be rather optimistic about the freedom the franchise will have moving forward. Nonetheless, the return of Juventus will be a welcome sight in FIFA 23.
