What’s New in Football Manager 23?
The video outlines five key improvements to this year’s game.
- Revamp Recruitment
- Match AI and Animation
- Official UEFA Club License
- Supporter Confidence
- Dynamic Manager Timeline
We got our first look at the Champions and Europa League licenses during the game’s initial promotion. However, Sports Interactive went further and included the competition’s third tier, The European Conference League.
Improvements to the match AI and animation were one of the main focuses for this year’s FM title. For years the Sports Interactive team has improved the on-field action to create an engaging simulation experience.
Fans are important in Football Manager 23
Supporter Confidence is one of the newest features to make its way to the Football Manager series. This feature is used to give clubs more of an identity and understanding of fan expectations of your club. Fan feedback has been in the series for a while now, but this adds another layer to the game.
The different types of fanbases are as follows:
- Hardcore: The most loyal and passionate section of the fanbase
- Core: Representing the average football fan
- Family: These supporters tend to be temperate and patient
- Fair Weather: Fans who are especially impatient for success
- Corporate: Most interested in the stadium’s facilities and club marketability.
- Casual: Less passionate and loyal than the average fan
