FIFA 23 has been out for a few weeks, and many players are finding new ways to score easy goals in the game. This year, players are looking at FIFA 23‘s new set-piece system, most notably, corner kicks. So far, there are two ways to put points on the board at the corner flag. The first option will most likely get patched in future updates by EA. The second option should be a constant warning for players who like to pull their goalkeeper out during corners. Hopefully, with these two methods, you will have more success at corner kicks in FIFA 23.
Mastering FIFA 23 Corner Kicks
Method 1
The first method could be patched in a future update, but for now, it seems like the easiest way to score from a corner. Firstly, the best way to be awarded a corner kick is to find room outside the penalty box and use FIFA 23‘s new power shot feature. Completely blasting the ball at the keeper will usually result in a corner.
From here, we can use our first method. Make sure you kick the ball toward the middle of the penalty box and use the right stick to move the cursor to the far right of the ball. Then, move it down just below the ‘low ball’ option and cross the ball with full power. This should result in an easy header and a satisfying goal.
This method is so effective because there’s always a center-back or taller player lurking around the 6-yard box, which makes it easy to swing a ball right into their path.
Method 2
This next method shouldn’t be patched at all. It punishes players that pull their goalkeeper out to the 6-yard box during a corner kick. Usually, when players do this, the keeper catches the ball and stops any potential danger easily.
However, the next time this happens, make sure your curl the directional line toward the goal. Then, move the cursor all the way to the right or left, depending on what side you are on. Try to kick the ball toward the middle of the 6-yard box and hit the ball using three bars of power. Unfortunately, this method isn’t as successful as the first, but it will ensure players will think twice before pulling their goalkeeper out.
