Haaland plays for the Norwegian national team, but he was born in Leeds in England. His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, was himself a professional footballer. Just before his son was born, he had just changed clubs from Leeds United to Manchester City.
Alf-Inge played in midfield and right back during his career. It is a completely different position than the son has. Father Haaland has been his son’s biggest role model and a great inspiration in life.
Haaland spent his childhood in Bryne in Norway. At the age of just 15, he scored 18 goals in 14 games for the football team Bryne FK. This was in the 2015/16 season, where he was a reserve.
