Over the holiday weekend, Stikerz Inc CEO Eugene Nashilov shared on Twitter his plans for UFL in 2023. In his thread of tweets, we got information about where his team is in development and a release window for UFL in late 2023.
On release date:
We plan 2 release in Q3-Q4 2023. We don't yet have the exact date. Why is that so?
Let me explain a little:— Eugene Nashilov (@styxflows) December 25, 2022
UFL is planned to release in late 2023
The first thing Eugene shared was the release window of UFL, stating:
We plan 2 release in Q3-Q4 2023. We don’t yet have the exact date.
He continued by explaining how his team is still working on research and development features along with console guidelines. Which are standard procedures when making a game for home consoles. However, Eugene expressed how 2023 is a competitive year for football simulation games and that Strikerz Inc needs to keep some of UFL’s secrets hidden.
2023 is a futsim Y[ear]. EA are releasing a title under the new name or so it may seem. Konami are also doing things and not planning to leave the scene. We have to be very thoughtful, cause there are no 2nd chances in this game. So we have to keep some secrets.
The UFL CEO is correct; Electronic Arts will be moving forward with a new series called EA Sports FC which will take the place of FIFA next year. Konami is still gathering licenses and updating its eFootball game every other month, so UFL will have plenty of competition by the time it’s released.
Here is a quick rundown on UFL
UFL is an online football game that utilizes a FIFA Ultimate Team-like formula. You can purchase players and managers with the game’s in-game currency and play through ranked-based divisions. Unfortunately, UFL won’t have offline modes at launch, but the game will add post-launch content for fans to enjoy.

“UFL won’t have offline modes at launch” so I’m no longer excited about UFL. This was meant to be the game to replace FIFA and eFootbal, but I’ll stay with PES6 with quadrillions of mods. I’ll forget UFL as for now.
