The game’s launch is still a few days away, but Super Mega Baseball 3 is already primed to receive a brand new game mode.
Metalhead Software has announced that a Custom Pennant Race mode is coming to all players.
This new offering will expand upon the popular Pennant Race mode with players being able to have a private race with up to 32 other players. Players can set custom settings for both casual and competitive play, including the number of innings per game, the length of the Pennant Race, and more.
“Custom Pennant Race mode is a game-changer for how we play Super Mega Baseball 3 with friends,” said Metalhead co-founder Scott Drader in a statement. “The idea for the mode came to us as a way to address a lot of feature requests we’ve had from the community, using the existing Pennant Race mode as the foundation.”
Whatsmore is that this mode allows for cross-platform players.
Custom Pennant Race is expected to be available in early summer 2020 on all platforms, and will be free for all players.
Super Mega Baseball 3 launches on May 13 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Sports Gamers Online will have a full review of the game on Tuesday, May 12 at 9am ET.
