TopSpin 2K25 Reveals Game Mode Breakdown

Another week, another Centre Court Report on TopSpin 2K25, this time revealing all the game modes. Last month, 2K showed off its tennis game’s gameplay features and venue list. Even though we got a look at some of the new mechanics within the game, 2K briefly mentioned some of its popular modes, like MyPlayer. However, with the latest report, we know more about MyPlayer, online modes, and more.

TopSpin 2K25: Centre Court Report – Meet The Modes

In the latest Centre Court Report, 2K revealed the modes that feature in TopSpin 2K25. If you are familiar with 2K Sports games, then some of these modes will ring a bell.

MyPlayer

Of course, 2K is synonymous with its MyPlayer mode across multiple sports titles. 2K calls TopSpin’s MyPlayer mode “the ultimate experience,” and from looking at the trailer, the developers are going all in on its player career mode.

First, players create your tennis player. Players can customize the usual hair, skin color, and clothes, but you’ll also be able to choose your “tennis style.” We can pick different animations for forehands, backhands, and more.

In traditional 2K Sports fashion, players progress from playing in small-rank tournaments to competing in Grand Slams. However, TopSpin 2K25 will also feature “World Tour,” which has players facing off against other MyPlayers online to win major tournaments.

Crossplay

In addition to MyPlayer, 2K has announced that the game will feature crossplay for the first time. Many sports titles are starting to make crossplay a focal point of online play, and it’s great.

Other Modes

2K discussed other modes, such as 2K Tour, Exhibition, and Online Exhibition. For information about all the modes coming to 2K’s tennis game, watch the full Centre Court Report here.

TopSpin 2K25 will be released on April 26, 2024, and it will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
