WWE 2K22 Announced By 2K Sports

After nearly two years, the next installment of the WWE 2K series has been officially announced as 2K Sports revealed the WWE 2K22 teaser during WWE’s WrestleMania event on Saturday night.

The trailer, which was shown to media on Thursday but under embargo until Saturday night, features Rey Mysterio and Cesaro. Though not much is shown, it does give a first look at the in-game character models as well as in-ring action.

WWE 2K20, the last game released in the series, was much maligned by fans and critics. The game featured numerous bugs and 2K Sports ultimately gave refunds for the game after complaints.

After taking a year off, 2K Sports is hoping to get back into the good graces of WWE fans and gamers with WWE 2K22.
