WWE 2K23 New Trailer Showcases WarGames, Gameplay, & More!

WWE 2K23 Unveils First Look at WarGames with New Gameplay Trailer

Today, 2K revealed a brand new trailer for the much anticipated WWE 2K23. You can catch the trailer above and details below!

WWE 2K23 trailer showcases gameplay, WarGames, and more!

The trailer offers fans and players a first look at the debut of WarGames, the double ring, double cage match type. In WWE 2K23, WarGames allows players to compete in 3v3 or 4v4, just two participants shy of the 5v5 real-life match. This is likely due to software limitations rather than a design choice.

Of course, players can go at it via single-player or multiplayer when they step into the two side-by-side rings, all while surrounded by a double-steel cage. In addition, the new trailer also showcases match-ups between WWE Superstars and Legends including cover Superstar John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Logan Paul, The Undertaker, Rhea Ripley, Bobby Lashley, and more.

Outside of the WarGames glimpse, the trailer does not offer much in the way of surprises. WWE 2K22, while breathing life into the franchise, suffered from inconsistent experiences and bad AI once any match expanded beyond 1v1. It will be interesting to see if WWE 2K23 can improve upon the expanded matches and polish the gimmick match experiences across the board. If 2K has been able to deliver the same polished 1v1 experience on all matches, then 2K23 should make for a landmark game.

WWE 2K23 features four editions of the game: Standard Edition, Cross-Gen, Deluxe Edition, and Icon Edition. Each version includes a wealth of goodies available to players both in and out of game. You can check out the full details of those here.
