Everyone knew it was coming this fall, but now there’s a set release date as 2K Sports has announced that WWE 2K Battlegrounds will hit digital and physical marketplaces on September 18, 2020.
Available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Google Stadia, the game will launch with two different versions, a Standard Edition for $39.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition for $49.99.
Those who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive WWE Hall of Famer Edge as a playable character in the game. Picking up the Digital Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K Battlegrounds not only gets players Edge, but will also see you receive all versions of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock and Ronda Rousey unlocked at the beginning of play, and 1100 bonus Golden Bucks, the in-game currency used to unlock wrestlers and cosmetic items within the game.
The game’s commentary will be handled by the voice of NXT Mauro Ranallo along with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler.
