After reports of its planned release for the last few months, Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that WWE 2K23 is in development and will be coming next year.
During the company’s second quarter earnings call on Monday, Take-Two mentioned WWE 2K23 with a Fiscal 2023-year release. That means the game will arrive, at least as of today, no later than March 31, 2023 when the company’s fiscal year ends.
In addition to the mention of WWE 2K23’s release, it was mentioned that WWE 2K22 contributed to the company’s $1 billion in units sold for Q1 2022. It’s also been told to SGO that WWE 2K22 was the most successful game in the WWE 2K series since the company took over the license back in 2013.
What wasn’t confirmed were the platforms for WWE 2K23. While many would expect the same Xbox and PlayStation consoles along with PC, a decision to stay on last-gen platforms has yet to be made.

WWE 2K23 Was Expected
Since the launch of WWE 2K22, the development of WWE 2K23 was long expected. It became more so with the aforementioned success of the former along with the yet-to-be-announced return of Bryan Williams to the franchise.
SGO did reach out what this means regarding a long-term agreement to continue the WWE 2K series. As of publishing, no response was received.
