After boasting successful profits in the fiscal year, the Publishing titan EA has laid off approximately six percent, or roughly 700-800 members of its workforce. The announcement comes from CEO Andrew Wilson in an official press release.

EA Sports has announced that they are laying off almost 800 people.

EA Lays off 800 Employees

In January, EA announced one of its most successful quarters fiscally. It made $7 billion, an 18% increase from the year prior. This is because FIFA 23 is on pace to become the most successful entry of the franchise. The success of NHL 23 and Need For Speed Unbound has allowed for record engagement from its player bases.

Unfortunately, almost 800 EA workers will not be around to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

In an official press release by Andrew Wilson, The CEO cited a pivot “away from projects that do not contribute to our strategy.” In addition, he stated that EA is looking to restructure some of its teams and review its “real estate footprint.”

Though a very unfortunate part of the business, Wilson reveals that laid-off employees will receive severance pay, health care, and help with career transitions. Communications pertaining to lay-offs began earlier in the year and will continue until the next fiscal year

He concludes by thanking all employees that contributed to the success of EA and his optimistic outlook on the future of EA. He promises to bring more exciting games and build exciting communities.

Mike, great work. I applaud your efforts enormously because I currently make more than $36,000 per month from just one straightforward online business! These are simply the most basic internet operations jobs, yet jv-07 even with just $29,000 you can start building a consistent online income.
