Kylian Mbappe is your FIFA 21 cover athlete.
The Paris Saint-Germain star revealed the news, sharing the covers on Twitter earlier today.

The FIFA 21 cover designs share inspiration with EA’s Madden NFL 21 covers, which were revealed back in June. Mbappe graces the cover of FIFA 21’s standard, champion and ultimate editions. This is a departure from FIFA 20, whose standard, champion and ultimate editions featured Eden Hazard, Virgil van Dijk and Zinedine Zidane respectively.
Which Version of FIFA 21 Is The Right Version
Let’s say you were waiting to make your FIFA 21 pre-order decision based on cover athlete. Now they’re all the same athlete! Suddenly, you may need a refresher on the benefits that come with each version of FIFA 21.
As previously reported, owners of FIFA 21 will be able to upgrade their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X no matter which edition they buy (a much more straightforward system than 2K’s confusing NBA 2K21 upgrade path).
The standard edition of FIFA 21 comes with a few pre-order benefits and launches globally on October 9.
Pre-ordering the Champions or Ultimate edition of FIFA 21 gets you Early Access. You’ll be able to play FIFA 21 three days early, starting October 6. Otherwise, your only major decision besides which style of cover you prefer is how many in-game goodies you want.
FIFA 21 releases globally on October 9 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. If you need a taste of next-gen FIFA, you can find a first look at FIFA 21 on next-gen consoles over on our Youtube channel.
