The NBA 2K League is the latest association to suspend competitive play due to COVID-19, as they announced the decision today in a statement.
NBA 2K League Suspended
Over the past 24 hours, the NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS have all suspended play due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Today, the NBA 2K League followed suit, as they announced via a statement that the 2020 season will not start on March 24, and that all play is suspended until further notice.
“The health and well-being of our players, teams and fans is of paramount importance. We will continue to evaluate the situation and do everything possible to bring the excitement of the 2K League to our fans through remote preseason exhibitions and other content,” NBA 2K League President Brendan Donohue wrote in a statement today.
