For those waiting on anything regarding the PlayStation 5, your questions have been answered. Sony has officially announced that they will be holding a PS5 event on Thursday, June 4 to take a look at the “future of gaming”.

The show will start at 4pm ET/1pm PT and air on Twitch and YouTube.

The event will run for a little over an hour, according to Sony, and will give fans a look at games debuting on the new console from a number of studios. For those hoping to see a look at the actual console, however, you may not be getting what you want.

“We’ve shared technical specifications and shown you the new DualSense wireless controller,” SIE President and CEO Jim Ryan said. “But what is a launch without games?

“That’s why I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”

Sony has said that this event will be the first of many coming during the year. So, despite the expected release less than six months away, it doesn’t look like we’ll actually know what the PS5 will look like just yet.
