Sony Sets Price on PlayStation’s First Remote Play Device

In terms of controllers, PlayStation has strived to be innovative in every area. The PS5’s DualSense controller utilizes haptic technology to give players immersive feedback when playing their favorite games. However, the God of War publisher took their efforts a step further and announced that the PS5 will be getting a new remote-play device later this year. PS’ newest controller will set players back $200 USD.

PlayStation’s Remote Play Device

A few months ago, PlayStation announced a new device players can use for remote play on the PS5. This device is called PlayStation Portal and will have an 8-inch screen with DualSense controllers attached.

Players can play PS5 games from their console on the device via cloud streaming. Supported games will run at 1080p, 60 frames per second, and promise a high-definition visual experience.

The PlayStation Portal will be released later this year for 199.99 USD | 219.99 EURO | 199.99 GBP | 29,980 YEN. Pre-orders will start at a later date, so be ready to get yours.
