EA has released news on their upcoming launch roster update. The downgrading of “Johnny Football” is just one of the many ratings changes incoming.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback competition is real. Newly named starting quarterback Brian Hoyer (78) fell 1 point in our first Madden NFL 15 roster update, but still edges out rookie sensation Johnny Manziel (77).
Both QB’s seem to be evenly matched signal callers both on paper and in Madden. Only time will tell when one will emerge as the bonafide starter.
Browns head coach Mike Pettine has already suggested that a two-quarterback system (and special Manziel plays package) is “on the table.” Should he choose to utilize Manziel, he’s a good choice to run the Pistol with his impressive SPD, ACC and ELU ratings.
Some other notable ratings changes:
– Cleveland Browns DT Ahtyba Rubin 86 (+4)
– Houston Texans SS D.J. Swearinger 80 (+4)
– Miami Dolphins HB Knowshon Moreno 84 (-3)
– Tennessee Titans LOLB Derrick Morgan 79 (-7)
