Whether for or against the idea, it is hard to ignore the impact of Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency has certainly been a hot topic on many lips in recent years. And, depending on where one stands, it’s easy to see it’s beginning to infiltrate many different areas of our lives. One, in particular, has been the cryptocurrency relationship with eSports.

Crypto companies becoming big sponsors in the eSports

There are many different types of cryptocurrency companies cropping up around the world. Not only do you have crypto exchanges and trading platforms, but there are crypto investing and advisory companies as well. Plus, if you take a look at the Bitcasino blog, you will see that there are even cryptocurrency casinos as well, and we know that the sports and gambling world are very much aligned. With the increasing popularity and success of these companies, it is no surprise to see them exploring big sponsorship possibilities.

We have seen many cryptocurrency companies become big sponsors in the esports sector. In fact, last year, we saw Fnatic, an esports franchise situated in London, sign a five-year sponsorship with Crypto.com, a deal worth $15 million. The deal resulted in the logo appearing on jerseys worn by the eSports teams at Fnatic. Moreover, part of the agreement has seen Fnatic generate exclusive NFTs for its fans.

This represents the first eSports partnership for Crypto.com. However, it really is a sign of what is to come when it comes to the worlds of electronic sports and crypto colliding. There have been a number of other partnerships between eSports teams and companies and those in the cryptocurrency sphere. A prime example is Bybit. They have recently secured eSports contracts with both Alliance and Astralis, expanding their reach within the gaming market. The company is going to stream content on Twitch to try and expand player engagement, as well as promote financial literacy and feature logos on gaming jerseys.

eSports companies accepting Bitcoin as payment

We have seen a number of gaming companies accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment. Nowadays, several popular platforms enable you make purchases straight from your crypto wallet. Examples include Playasia, Gamesplanet, Microsoft, Blocklete games, and Twitch.

If you have an Xbox, you can easily purchase games using cryptocurrency. Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin are both accepted. You can simply add this as an option under the “Payment & Billing” section. If you are using a platform that does not directly accept Bitcoin at the moment, such as a PlayStation, it doesn’t actually mean you have to use fiat currency. You can use your Bitcoin to buy a PlayStation gift card and top up your account.

Bitcoin making a huge impact on the eSports market

As you can see, there are many different ways that Bitcoin is having an impact on eSports. We are seeing more and more people invest in cryptocurrency, and now we’re seeing Bitcoin being used to fund gaming transactions. At the same time, it is of no surprise to see that cryptocurrency companies and exchanges are becoming big sponsors in the sports gaming sector as well.

Newly added snake skins are more diverse so that players can choose and change the appearance of their snakes to become more unique. Snake io has also fixed some minor bugs and optimized them for a smoother and more engaging player experience.
