EA Sports came out with a bang by announcing their new golf franchise in a press release earlier today. The title will be called: “Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR” officially making the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world the new face of the franchise. This comes almost 2 years after ending a 15+ year partnership with Tiger Woods and will be EA’s first golf simulation game on Next Gen consoles after taking a year off.
They also released a new teaser trailer and from what we can tell, the graphics look very easy on the eyes. It will also mark the first golf game running on the new Frostbite engine, allowing EA to render an entire course at once, eliminating load times from hole to hole, making for a “truly limitless experience”.
The game is developed by EA Tiburon in Orlando, Florida and is due to be released on the Playstation 4 and XBox One sometime in June.
