eSports WRC World Final takes place in Athens

NACON announced the eSports WRC World Final takes place in Greece September 7 and 8. The best players will compete in WRC 10, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship. Furthermore, for the second consecutive year, the final will take place during the Acropolis Rally. The 8 finalists will compete in the heart of the Olympic complex, at the end of the regular season come August 15.

New Nike and Psyonix partnership

Psyonix and Nike entered into a partnership bringing the magic of the new Nike Air Zoom Mercurial football boot into Rocket League. Players can claim the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Bundle now. New content includes three Octane Decals (Nike Air Zoom Mercurial – Pink, Nike Air Zoom Mercurial – Green, Nike Air Zoom Mercurial – Yellow) and Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Wheels. Additionally, there is a free Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Player Banner available in the Item Shop. In addition, a Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Invitational tournament will take place on July 22 beginning at 10AM PT.

Konami and WBSC to develop new baseball video game

This week, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and Konami announced the signing of an agreement to develop a new baseball game. This new game aims to allow fans worldwide to participate in a potential newly created WBSC eSport international competition.

“Following our partnership and immense success at the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series last year, the WBSC is proud to work with a video-game publishing giant like KONAMI on this exciting new project, which has unlimited potential to further grow our sport and connect with audiences that we’ve not yet reached before,” -WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari.

Motorsport Games adds two games to NVIDIA GeForce NOW

This month, NASCAR 21: Ignition and KartKraft released for Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. The two titles join a robust library of over 1,300 games available to be played via the cloud.

Redout 2 launches for Nintendo Switch

34BigThings and Saber Interactive launched Redout 2. In addition, the supercharged sequel to the famed anti-gravity racer is now available on the  Nintendo Switch. Players can grab the standard version of the game or its Deluxe Edition. Of course, the Deluxe Edition includes the base game plus the Season Pass featuring two future DLC packs with new locations, career events, rewards and more at a discount.

WWE 2K22 releases last DLC

WWE 2K22 has gotten its last scheduled DLC content, The Whole Dam Pack. The update brings a pop culture flair with the addition of Machine Gun Kelly and Logan Paul. Both stars have history with WWE, as MGK performed at WrestleMania XXVIII and later ran afoul of WWE Superstar Kevin Owens on Monday Night Raw, while Logan Paul teamed with The Miz to defeat Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio in a match at WrestleMania 38, having previously appeared at WrestleMania 37, and on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown multiple times. The pack also includes LA Knight, Xia Li, Commander Azeez, and the “Warrior of the Sun” Sarray. Of course, last but certainly not least, the last DLC includes ECW and WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam.
