Today, San Diego Studios (SDS) released a content and roster update for MLB The Show 18 Diamond Dynasty. As the month of August has just begun, July Player of the Month cards have just arrived. Matt Carpenter, 91 overall, is the exclusive program reward. His ratings are below.

Per TheShowNation, there are eight new flashbacks for the July POTM program. They are listed below.

Earlier this week, July ranked seasons rewards were distributed, and the World Series reward for August was announced. Flashback 95 overall Joe Mauer is the exclusive card, and his ratings are below.

The Monthly Awards Pack is available now. Each pack costs 15,000 stubs and guarantees one POTM card needed to complete the program. The limit is five per person, and only 25,000 packs will be sold in total.

The Ticket Counter has also been updated, and it will now rotate previous POTM cards in an effort to help players complete previous month’s sets. New timed starter missions are also available now.

Patch 1.13 was also released this week. The patch notes feature little to nothing of value for Diamond Dynasty players, but Road to the Show and franchise players should be quite pleased with a long list of additions. Per SDS, here are some of the new audio bits that can be heard in RTTS and franchise:

Additionally, a roster update dropped to update transactions throughout the league. Dozens of players were dealt before Tuesday’s MLB Trade Deadline, and they are now on the correct teams in the game. Notable players that moved to new teams at the deadline include: Mike Moustakas (Brewers), Brian Dozier (Dodgers), Ian Kinsler (Red Sox), J.A. Happ (Yankees), Cole Hamels (Cubs), Chris Archer (Pirates) and Jonathan Schoop (Brewers).

The next roster update with attribute changes will be Friday, August 10. That same day, SDS plans to drop a new event. Check back with us then, as we’ll have everything you need to know here at SGO.
