MLB The Show 22 Adds Two New Programs and Second Roster Update

This week’s Diamond Dynasty update has brought with it a slew of new content for players to grind, both online and offline. The latest MLB The Show 22 patch includes a roster update, two new Other Programs, and the return of the Moonshot Event.

MLB The Show 22: May Monthly Awards Program

The May Monthly Awards Program has arrived in MLB The Show, with new sets of moments based off the first week of the month. Players who complete these moments will be able to earn these 5 new Topps Now cards:

This month’s Lightning Legend player has also been revealed. The new legend is Red Sox legend Jim Rice. This card will be earnable once the May POTM cards are released, but he is now usable in Battle Royale drafts.

Big Dog Program

The Big Dog program has been added to Diamond Dynasty. This gives players a chance to earn each of the 3 Big Dog packs that have been in the game so far this year. The program will also reward and 88 OVR All-Star series Tony “Big Dog” Perez. This program also comes with a new showdown. In this showdown, players will take on John Franco as the boss to earn 20 points towards the Big Dog program.

Moonshot Event

The Moonshot Event is making its second appearance in MLB The Show 22 this weekend. Players will use Bronze right-handed pitchers vs any hitters in the game in 3-inning games on All-Star difficulty. 10 wins in the program will earn the player 90 OVR 2019 2nd Half series Eugenio Suarez, and 15 wins in the program will reward players 92 OVR 2019 2nd Half Series Nelson Cruz.

Roster Update and Headliner

The second big Roster Attribute Update has been deployed in MLB The Show. Once again there are a large number of players that saw upgrades and downgrades to their attributes. Five new players have earn a spot in the Diamond Club:

The 13th Headliners Set has arrived in the pack shop. The new headliner is 94 OVR 1985 All-Star Don Mattingly.
