Sony Partners Reveal 10 New Legends Coming to MLB The Show 20

MLB The Show 20 is set to drop on March 17, and there is a rapidly growing list of new legends featured in this year’s installment of the top baseball video game on the market. It appears as though San Diego Studio (SDS) will feature Sony Partners in the game for a second straight year. In the past two days, these content creators have revealed a new legend in MLB The Show 20. Here is a list, with videos, of each new legend reveal.

The Show developers promised that this year’s legends would primarily be from the 1990’s and 2000’s, and by the looks of this list, they’ve certainly delivered on that promise.

JASON ISRINGHAUSEN (Clutchsilver)

Jason Isringhausen was a dominant closer in the late 90’s and early 2000’s for the Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals. Isringhausen amassed an even 300 saves in his career, and led the league in saves in 2004.

DENNIS MARTINEZ (Mills)

Martinez was a reliable starting pitcher for the majority of his 22 seasons in the majors, amassing 245 wins. He primarily played for the Baltimore Orioles but starred for the Montréal Expos in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

AL LEITER (Healy)

Leiter was a dominant force for the New York Mets (and briefly for the Florida Marlins) from 1996-2004. The crafty left-handed starter is sure to give hitters issues in MLB The Show 20.

DAN PLESAC (Atrin)

Both Dan Plesac and content creator Atrin make their debuts in MLB The Show 20. Plesac is already an analyst for MLB Network and a color commentator in MLB The Show, so it will be interesting to see how his commentary changes when he himself enters the game.

MARK BUEHRLE (ScuffyMcGee)

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed by SDS, all signs point towards ScuffyMcGee being a Sony Partner for MLB The Show 20. Scuffy is more than deserving, as he’s been a leading content creator, streamer and tournament host for multiple years running.

ROBIN ROBERTS (Shelfy)

Robin Roberts was one of the best pitchers in baseball from 1950-1956, making the All-Star team all seven seasons and leading the league in wins four straight times. While Roberts isn’t a household name for most gamers today because of when he played, he’s sure to have a highly-rated Signature Series card at some point this year.

GEORGE FOSTER (Sporer)

Another name from baseball’s distant past, George Foster starred for the Cincinnati Reds’ “Big Red Machine” in the late 70’s and early 80’s.

JUAN PIERRE (Koogs)

A career .295 hitter who was extremely dependable for almost all of his 14 major league seasons, Juan Pierre will likely have over 100 contact and over 90 speed on his signature series card. Similar to MLB The Show 19’s Kenny Lofton, this card could be lethal if used correctly.

RYAN KLESKO (Quash)

Ryan Klesko’s career numbers aren’t overwhelming, but he was a quality power bat in lineups for the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres in the 90’s and early 2000’s.

DAVE KINGMAN (Fuzzy)

A power hitter before his time, Dave Kingman amassed 442 home runs in his 16 years in the bigs, ending his career in 1986. With a 6’6″ frame, Kingman compares nicely to The Show 19’s Frank Thomas cards.
