NBA 2K22 Rating Update #4

NBA 2K22 Badge Guide

Just in time for the holiday games, NBA 2K22 released another rating update. Let us look at some of the underrated players who are making some moves. Check out the full list here.

NBA 2K22 Rating Update #4: Who’s Up

Domantas Sabonis – Indiana Pacers- 87 OVR (+1)

Drafted No. 11 overall in the 2016 NBA Draft, Domantas Sabonis has grown into one of the best big men in the league. Sabonis’ size makes him an ideal modern-day power forward, but his athleticism and shot-making ability elevate his prototypical traits. Sabonis is averaging almost 20 points and 12 rebounds per game. The Indiana Pacers might be finding their footing as a team, but Sabonis established himself as a premier talent long ago.

Jarrett Allen – Cleveland Cavaliers- 86 OVR (+1)

We’re witnessing the rise of Jarrett Allen. Players who drive on Allen have a death wish, considering he’s one of the best paint defenders in the league, but he’s also polishing his offensive skills. Since last season, Allen has improved his total rebounds per game and averaging 17.3 ppg. The Cavs are one of the feel-good stories in the NBA this year. The roster is exceeding expectations and developing into a playoff contender, largely thanks to Allen’s growth. Don’t be surprised if Allen takes home the Most Improved Player hardware at the end of the year.

Cade Cunningham – Detroit Pistons- 79 OVR (+1)

Before he set foot on an NBA court, Cade Cunningham oozed with potential, but he had to prove it. The No. 1 overall pick is averaging 15 points per game and just went toe-to-toe with one of the NBA’s best scorers in Kevin Durant. The rookie’s confidence is growing by the day and feeling more comfortable with the pace of the professional game. The Pistons found a stud in Cunningham. With time, it should translate to more wins for the franchise.

Who’s Down

James Harden – Brooklyn Nets- 89 OVR (-2)

James Harden has shown flashes of his prolific scoring ability but has otherwise looked mediocre. The former MVP is averaging 20.8 ppg on 40 percent shooting and 33 percent shooting from deep. Despite his lackluster performances, Brooklyn is still on top of the eastern conference with a 20-8 record. James Harden is below a 90 OVR for the first in his career since NBA 2K15. We are only 30 games into the season, so Harden has a chance to raise his OVR.
