Spooky season has officially arrived in NBA 2K23. With the arrival of Season 2 comes a host of new content coming modes like MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and The W to get players in the mood for some tricks and treats. Season 2 will kick off this Friday in time for the start of the NBA season.
2K Sports announced the new season today, saying “In NBA 2K23 Season 2, players will follow Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker from the sweltering heat of Phoenix through the Wild West, hoping to strike gold in earning the Larry O’Brien Trophy, challenging teams like the reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors.” This announcement also went on to detail the new content coming to the different modes in the game.
NBA 2K23 Season 2
MyCAREER
MyCAREER will see several new updates in Season 2. New Halloween-themed events will be featured in The City and the G.O.A.T. Boat, such as Trick-or-Treating night out. A new court and artwork will be added to the mode. A new set of rewards are also featured, including a Jabbawockeez outfit for reaching Level 40.
MyTEAM
There is a load of new content heading to MyTEAM. The new content coincides with the start of the NBA season. New Moments Agendas will allow players to grind for rewards based on real-world stand-out NBA performances. The very first Dark Matter cards will also be brought into the game this season. Along with this will be new ways to complete Trophy Case collections, new themes for Season cards, and a Pink Diamond Devin Booker card as the Level 40 reward.
The W
Season 2 will also bring fresh content to The W. New challenges and rewards will be added, such as Los Angeles Sparks Heroine Shorts and a Tamika Catchings Coach Card. There will also be 60 new WNBA jerseys added to MyCAREER in NBA 2K23.
2K Beats
Tons of new songs are being added to NBA 2K23. This includes a curated playlist of 20 songs from DREAMER version cover star J. Cole. These songs feature exclusive debuts of tracks from artists like Dave East, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Connie Diamond feat. Dame D.O.L.L.A. before they release on streaming platforms. Season 2 will also allow players to create tracks over an original beat from Grammy Award-winning producer BoogzDaBeast and share them on social media.
