NBA 2K24 Introduces The LeBron Era and a Lite Version of MyNBA

NBA 2K24 is still a few weeks away, but that has yet to stop 2K from releasing exciting news about its upcoming basketball game. On Tuesday, the publisher announced some major updates coming to MyNBA. The most notable ones are the addition of the LeBron Era and the introduction of MyNBA Lite.

NBA 2K24: MyNBA Lite

MyNBA is daunting in NBA 2K, and that’s a good thing. The mode is like a basketball sandbox, you have the whole of the NBA under your control, and you can make it whatever you want.

However, due to the sheer size of the mode and endless possibilities in it, new players may find this feature intimidating. Fortunately, 2K is introducing MyNBA Lite, which, as the name suggests, is a lighter version of the mode.

MyNBA Lite gives players the freedom and flexibility to quickly make the moves they need to win a title, such as making trades without CBA restrictions, extending contracts, having visibility on upcoming draft classes, and more.

The LeBron Era

For seasoned NBA 2K players, the LeBron Era is the latest addition to MyNBA. This year, players can participate in a time when LeBron James joined the Miami Heat to team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Players can play in the early 2010’s and work their way into the modern era; basketball players will even age while playing.

Players can relive or rewrite the 2010s basketball era that saw LeBron James join forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to create the ‘Heatles’ superteam. As fans progress from the 2010s into the Modern Era, select players will undergo an automatic aging transformation, a new feature that is present in all of the historic Eras.

NBA 2K24 will be released on September 8 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
