NBA 2K24 Soundtrack Celebrates 50 Years of Hip-Hop

With the upcoming release of NBA 2K24, we’ve been given the details on this year’s soundtrack. Celebrating 50 years of hip-hop there are some big names from the past, as well as the current innovators of the rap game. With its mainline series, this is also the 25th NBA 2K game. 2K made the statement that this soundtrack features genre-defining songs from the past and present. With the crossover of NBA and hip-hop fans, this could be the perfect track list for those with a passion for both.

Likely to be the highlight song, “Just Wanna Rock” is coming as you cannot miss out Lil Uzi Vert in this celebration. Other features include Kodak Black’s “Walk“, “In Ma Hood” by Ice Spice, and “hooligan” by Baby Keem. If that isn’t enough, one of the hottest artists of 2023, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, is bringing “Black” to the court. To round out the modern class we have “90 Proof” by Smino and J. Cole, and “Breakfast In Monaco” by Larry June and The Alchemist, and “Bad Habit” by Steve Lacy. This is already a strong group of songs but they aren’t the last of the modern musicians to come. 2K claims there are many more to arrive and bolster the modern rappers.

Lil Wayne is bringing the heat from the past with “Kobe Bryant“, though the track list from the past is being kept under wraps right now. Def Jam Recordings have partnered with 2K and throughout Season 1 classics will be added bit by bit. Warren G’s “This DJ“, and “Hustlin” by Rick Ross have both been confirmed.
