Player’s Lounge will hosting a FREE NBA 2K17 tournament presented by Sports Gamers Online and the NBA 2K Reddit.
Registration and Details
There will be two brackets, one for PS4 and one for Xbox One. Entry is FREE for both brackets with cash prizes provided by Players’ Lounge.
To enter players will need to SIGN UP at Players Lounge and also subscribe to r/NBA2K.
Start Time
- Registration will close on June 2nd 11:59pm EDT.
- The tournament will start Saturday, June 3rd at 2:00pm EDT. Rounds 1-4 will be played on Saturday.
- The remaining rounds and finals will be played on June 4th starting at 2:00pm EDT.
- Each round has a window of 1 hour. The number of rounds are subject to the amount of participants.

- 1st Place: $75 + Amazon Gift Card + Sports Gamers Online T-Shirt
- 2nd Place: $25 + Amazon Gift Card + SGO T-Shirt
- 3rd Place: Amazon Gift Card + SGO T-Shirt
- 4th/5th Place: 1 month of Reddit Gold

Bracket and Matchups
The bracket will be randomly generated at the start of the tournament. From there, players can open their match lobby on Players’ Lounge, friend their request opponent and play the match online.
Quarter Length
- 5 minute quarters for majority bouts
- 6 minute quarters for semi-finals
- 7 minute quarters for finals
Team Selection
Players will select their teams using the random team feature twice and select one of two teams generated. If you get the same team twice, you may randomize one more time. If you don’t want both of the two teams generated, you may do a third randomization as a ‘suicide’ option to pick a team that you must use. Current NBA teams only.
Difficulty
Games will be played on Hall of Fame difficulty.
Reporting Scores
After each match, both players report the scores to the site; if discrepancies occur, players will need to provide photo or video evidence. Players’ Lounge will decide who wins based on the evidence provided.
