EA Sports Still Considering Major Changes to Madden NFL Development Team

Madden 24

One month ago, Madden NFL 24 released worldwide. In the weeks since, the reception remained positive throughout the gaming community. New features and modes have seemed to satisfy the expectations of fans of the series. This was reflected in franchise records for both player engagement and game sales. However, this year’s entry may not have satisfied the powers that be at EA Sports.

EA Sports Considering Major Changes to Madden NFL Development Team

On The Hot Seat?

This week, Mike Straw with Insider Gaming published a report that EA Sports is pleased with the early reception to this year’s game. Straw spoke to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, who pointed to additions like Superstar Mode and the new mini-games as positives for the latest entry. EA Sports plans to focus on continued improvements to these moving forward.

However, this year’s game isn’t without its flaws. One major issue the newest game has is a bug with draft classes in Franchise mode that affects the appearance of generated prospects. The game also has had problems with freezes both during games and in the menus.

Madden NFL 24 has sold very well since its release. It was announced this month that this year’s game had broken sales records for the franchise. However, it was reported earlier this year that it would take more than good sales to keep EA Sports from shaking things up. Severe technical issues with Madden NFL 23 had caused EA Sports to seriously consider changing things up with the development team.

Straw’s report reiterates the fact that EA Sports could decide to make changes within the Madden NFL development team. While it remains unknown what those changes might be, one of Straw’s sources said, “everything is on the table right now.” Fans will have to wait and see if the current issues with Madden NFL 24 can be remedied, or if EA Sports will feel forced to call an audible.
