FIFA 22 is Coming to Xbox Game Pass Late June

I was off by a month when I did my piece about when FIFA 22 will come to Xbox Game Pass. Once Madden 22 got the green light to go on Xbox’s subscription service last March, surely EA’s football title would follow suit the next month, right? Well, it wasn’t in May; however, FIFA 22 will make its way to Xbox Game Pass on June 23.

Last year, Electronic Arts’ EA Play was available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members for no additional cost. This collaboration between Xbox and EA brought over some heavy-hitting triple-A titles like Mass EffectDead Space, and Battlefield. It is important to us that this deal ensured that new sports releases from EA Sports would eventually make their way to the subscription service. So if you’re patient enough, you can hold off on the latest sports games until they hit Game Pass and avoid the yearly $60.

Try Out Hypermotion

Since its release last October, many of our SGO readers have probably got their hands on a next-gen system. Lucky, FIFA 22 coming to Game Pass is an excellent opportunity for you guys to try some of the features that the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions offer. Most notably, Hypermotion technology. This new technology marks a new era for FIFA’s gameplay, and it most likely will be the same for EA Sports FC.

FIFA 22 Review

If you are curious if FIFA 22 is worth your time, you can check out my review here.

FIFA 22 has some nice things, and the addition of HyperMotion shows where the series is going. But, for now, there’s a lot that needs to be built on moving forward. – Curtis Russell, FIFA 22 Review.
