EA UFC 5 Gameplay Revealed

Real Impact System

An all-new damage system is introduced in UFC 5. Real Impact System allows cuts, bruising, and accumulating damage to appear accurately on fighters. Over 64,000 possible combinations of facial damage that is rendered in more detail than before. The damage can realistically affect your attributes.

Return of Doctor Stoppages

In conjunction with the new damage system, Doctor stoppages are making a return. Doctor stoppages were last seen in THQ’s UFC Undisputed 3. Now that they have returned, it would behoove you to protect cuts when they open up.

Seamless Submissions

Grappling has always been difficult to capture in MMA games. However, it may become a bit easier with new Seamless submissions. A revamped extension of the existing grappling systems brings faster animations and the removal of mini-games. The new submissions offer a smoother, more authentic ground game that is sure to be a grappler’s delight.

Fight Week and Alter Egos

Fight Week syncs to upcoming UFC events where you can complete challenges to earn rewards. Among those rewards are alter egos. Alter Egos are alternate versions of fighters during career-defining moments. For example, a version of Jon Jones when he captured the light heavyweight title from Shogun Rua. Up to four new alter egos will drop each month.

Career Mode and Online

Career Mode offers an all-new introduction to the fight game. Coach Davis makes his return to help guide you through your UFC career. Cover star Valentina Shevchenko will also be featured as an NPC to assist on your journey. More information about the online career mode will come at a later date. Regarding online, online fights now have the ability to go to draws. A deep dive into gameplay is set for a date later this month. Let us know below how you’re feeling about EA UFC 5.
