Undisputed Career Mode Pushed Back into 2024

Undisputed

On Monday, Steel City Interactive took to YouTube to update fans of Undisputed‘s upcoming career mode beta. Unfortunately, the news was not what fans wanted to hear. Undisputed‘s career mode is now delayed until early 2024.

Undisputed Career Mode Delay

Creative Director Ash Habib and Gameplay Director Will Kinsler recorded a roughly 18-minute-long video discussing the current state of career mode and other updates. Regarding the delay of career mode, Ash Habib stated, “For career mode, the big news here is that we won’t be dropping career mode this year.”

Habib continued to explain some of the reasons for the delay. “We really wanted career mode to be in a play that we were happy with,” Habib suggests that the team is currently improving the AI, making it more “meaningful and dangerous.”

In addition to the AI improvements, some of the significant parts of career mode still need tweaking, like career progression and overall playability. You can watch the full video here.

First Look

Earlier this year, Steel City gave us our first look at career mode in a breakdown trailer on YouTube. This announcement excited many fans about Undisputed‘s future and overall progression.

Many of our audience here at Sports Gamers Online continue to ask about a console release for the game. Unfortunately, with the latest delay of career mode, I don’t think a console release of Undisputed is coming anytime soon. Steel City is still working on many aspects of the game to ensure a successful early access period.

Undisputed is still in early access, and the beta version of Career Mode and Character Creator will be out in early 2024. Let us know in the comments if you will be trying it out.
