Buccaneers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to Honor Madden Pro ‘Fitzmagic’ Sunday

This Sunday, the NFL will continue its “My Cause, My Cleats” initiative, a week of the NFL season in which players can wear custom cleats to honor a cause of their choice. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, chose a cause that really hits home for those in the Madden NFL community.

Fitzpatrick will honor George “Fitzmagic13” Amadeo, a pro Madden NFL 19 player and survivor of the Jacksonville shooting. The cleats feature Ryan Fitzpatrick as a wizard, holding a wand with a starry background to make the cleats’ overall blue tone. On the side of each cleat, “@fitzmagic13” can be seen in bright pink letters.

Fitzpatrick told ESPN’s Jenna Laine that he’s wanted to help this cause saying, “This is the direction they pointed me in for me to be able to support him and the victims of the shooting.” The Buccaneers will travel to play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Amedeo immediately responded on Twitter to show his appreciation of Fitzpatrick’s generous and wholesome gesture.

Fitzpatrick also told ESPN that Amedeo will be getting the cleats sent to him. Fitzpatrick said, “He’s been very supportive of me so I just wanted to show some support for him.”
