Madden 22 April Update Released, Features Minimal Franchise Mode Changes

Madden 22 April Update

EA Sports has released the Madden 22 April update for all platforms, and with it comes a number of gameplay updates and minimal franchise mode changes.

First, regarding gameplay, one of the biggest bugs has finally been addressed. Known as the “Red Route” WR Screen bug, the game would see AI defenders immediately crash the line should a QB leave the pocket at any time. According to EA, the issue was “caused by logic that would have defenders break to defend a scrambling QB during a WR Screen play call. Now the defense will react appropriately and stay back in coverage when a Smoke Screen Hot Route is used on any passing play.”

With Franchise Mode, the team released it’s “final live service update” for the mode. Unfortunately, however, the update, like the last one, is minimal in size and impact. The final features five more scenarios, six new goals, and percentage tweaks to scouting.
