In the next installment of Madden 22 X-Factor Week, EA Sports shares the abilities for pass rushers. On Thursday, EA revealed which pass rushers hold Superstar X-Factor abilities in this year’s game. Blitz, Fearmonger, Momentum Shift, Relentless, and Unstoppable Force are the traits available to pass rushers in Madden 22. Check out the 14 players with X-Factor abilities to get after opposing QB’s below.
Madden 22 Superstar X-Factor Pass Rushers
Blitz
Effective D-Line captains aren’t just examples to follow; they are motivators. When they enter the zone, all opposing blockers have their resistance bars wiped out.
Zone: On-field blockers have their resistance bars wiped.
Trigger: Two defensive line sacks
Knockout: One down played
No surprise here. The best defensive player in the league is sure to be a dominant force in Madden 22.
Fearmonger
Some pass rushers intimidate quarterbacks with their sheer presence. When they enter the zone, they can apply significant pressure on quarterbacks even while engaged with blockers.
Zone: Chance to pressure the QB while engaged with a blocker.
Trigger: Two defensive line sacks
Knockout: 20 offensive yards allowed
Three of the most intimidating pass rushers in the league carry this ability in Madden 22. Eagles DT Fletcher Cox and edge rushers Chandler Jones and Von Miller are priority number one for every offensive line.
Momentum Shift
Momentum Shift players demoralize their opponents. When they enter the zone, all on-field opponents are knocked out of the zone or lose any progress towards entering the zone.
Zone: On-field opponents have Zone progress wiped.
Trigger: Two defensive line sacks
Knockout: One down played
Few D-linemen are as disruptive as Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones. When he gets going, gameplans go right in the recycle bin.
Relentless
The most tenacious defenders beat their blocks by sheer force of will. When they enter the zone, their rush move attempts are free.
Zone: Rush moves no longer cost points.
Trigger: One sack or tackle for loss
Knockout: 20 offensive yards allowed
Although at two different points in their respective careers, J.J. Watt and Nick Bosa are still tremendous threats off the edge.
Unstoppable Force
Elite pass rushers are a mix of strength, speed, and tenacity. When they enter the zone, this ability increases their win rate and block shed speed against one-on-one pass blocks.
Zone: Pass rush wins lead to quicker block shedding.
Trigger: Two defensive line sacks
Knockout: 10 offensive yards allowed
The most prominent X-Factor ability in Madden 22, seven players carry the Unstoppable Force tag at launch. Colts interior lineman DeForest Buckner is the only defensive tackle holding this X-Factor. Vikings end Danielle Hunter, Cam Jordan, brothers of Superstar pass rushers Joey Bosa and T.J. Watt, and the beast up in Cleveland, Myles Garrett make up the rest of the list.
