After unveiling the Superstar X-Factor running backs, EA is on to the next group. On Wednesday, the Madden publisher unveiled X-Factor abilities for wide receivers and tight ends. Here are the abilities for pass catchers in Madden 22: Double Me, Max Security, RAC’em Up, and YAC’em Up. Check out the 13 Madden 22 Superstar X-Factor receivers below.

Double Me

Aggressive receivers overpower defenders and attack the football. When they enter the zone, this ability increases their success rate on aggressive catches against single coverage.

Zone: Wins aggressive catches versus single coverage.

Trigger: Two receptions of 20+ yards in air

Knockout: One drop, incompletion, or three consecutive non-targets

A number of big body, strong receivers hold this ability in Madden 22. Chiefs All-Pro TE Travis Kelce, Packers WR Davante Adams, D-Hop, Julio Jones, and Mike Evans of the Super Bowl champion Bucs.

Max Security

A surehanded receiver is a quarterback’s best friend. When they enter the zone, this ability increases their success rate (and decreases knockout chance) on possession catches.

Zone: High success rate on possession catches.

Trigger: Four consecutive receptions

Knockout: One drop, incompletion, or three consecutive non-targets

Three wideouts are equipped with Max Security at launch. The Saints Michael Thomas has proven to be one of the most reliable targets in the NFL. He’s joined by perennially underrated LAC WR Keenan Allen and the Cowboys Amari Cooper.

RAC’em UP

RAC receivers fight for every possible yard after making a catch. When they enter the zone, this ability increases their success rate on RAC catches against single coverage.

Zone: Wins RAC catches versus single coverage.

Trigger: Three receptions of 20+ Yards

Knockout: One drop, incompletion, or three consecutive non-targets

This X-Factor ability is held by two gamebreaking talents. Stefon Diggs and Tyreek Hill are nightmares for DB’s to cover for different reasons. But, get the ball in either of these two playmakers hands and more times than not it’s getting housed.

YAC’em Up

The best physical receivers don’t just come down with the ball; they carry it home. When they enter the zone, they are nearly guaranteed to break their first post-catch tackle.

Zone: Increased chance to break the first post-catch tackle.

Trigger: Three 20+ yard receptions

Knockout: One drop, incompletion, or three consecutive non-targets

These guys don’t go down easy. Two top Tight End targets carry this ability in Madden 22. Once they catch the ball the Raiders Darren Waller and SF’s George Kittle are near impossible to get on the ground.
