Madden 23 FieldSENSE Trailer Released

When EA Sports announced the latest installment of Madden NFL last week, it introduced a new Madden 23 feature known as FieldSENSE. A major update to the gameplay mechanics, FieldSense is EA Sports’ attempt to make the on-field action more dynamic than ever before in a Madden game.

Within the FieldSENSE system, there’s a lot changing. From gang tackles to mid-air pass defense, gameplay is expected to get a major boost to make it more enjoyable for everyone who loads up the game. The mechanics even confirm an SGO report from April regarding changes to various gameplay elements.

From EA:

Any collision on the field will now lean on our FileSENSE system to determine if they should branch to a stumble or fall, both during the play and after the play is over. For example, if a defender misses a tackle attempt, that player can take out a teammate by tripping him; or hitting a ball carrier at a bad angle can force him into a stumble or out of a tackle; you can even knock a teammate off of an ongoing tackle. This system will produce more organic, dynamic moments that are reactive to the action on the field making gameplay less predictable, while also offering more control.
