In a landmark crossover for the ages, Patrick Mahomes is a playable character in Fortnite. The Kansas City Chiefs QB is joining the Epic Games’ Battle Royale as part of the Icon Series. Mahomes is the latest athlete to join Fortnite. You can now have a squad filled with Patrick Mahomes, LeBron James, John Cena, and Naomi Osaka.

Patrick Mahomes in Fortnite
The Mahomes avatar will release Wednesday and features three styles: Default, Gladiator Mindset, and Gameday Gladiator. Mahomes Saucy Style, an alter ego, will be available in a distinct look. The pack also has signature emotes called Showtime and Secret Sauce.
The outfits and accessories have a gladiator look to them. It features tomahawk-like axes and armor reminiscent of Russell Crowe’s Gladiator.
The Mahomes Saucy Style is centered around his love for Ketchup. The suit is stylized like a ketchup bottle design, sauce-red pants, and saucy lapels.
Collaborations with athletes are not uncommon in Epic Games. For example, epic has collaborated with the NFL, allowing players to dawn their favorite players’ jerseys in the quest to get a victory royale.
The Icon Series featuring the SuperBowl MVP will be available Wednesday, August 24, 2022, around 8 EST.
Patrick Mahomes made a name for himself during his five-year career. He has a Super Bowl ring, Super Bowl MVP, League MVP, and NFL Offensive Player of the Year Selection. He has two all-pro selections and four pro-bowl selections to his credit.
