He now joins a long list of all-time great players, including Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Donald.

Trent Williams is Part of the 99 Club

The 99 Club is one of the illustrious parts of Madden, in addition to being the cover star. Williams is the first 99 club member announced during the cycle of Madden 23. As we inch closer to release, more members of the 99 Club will be revealed. At the start of the Madden 22 cycle, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Aaron Donald, Davante Adams, and Jalen Ramsey were all members.

Trent Williams came into the league a freak of nature athlete. He ran a 4.84 40-yard dash and his strength is among the best of elite linemen in the league. Since 2010, Williams has been elite as a lineman and has improved in almost every facet of the game. He is an elite run and pass blocker. In the 2021 season, Williams only allowed 1 sack tied for 71st of the top 20% of Lineman. He is elite at protecting the QB. Williams has done this en route to 9 Pro-Bowl selections and 2 All-Pro selections in 2015 and 2021 respectively.

On March 23, 2021, Williams signed a six-year, $138.06 million contract extension with the 49ers, making him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL.

Madden 23 will release on August 19 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Let us know how you feel below about Trent ‘Silverback’ Williams becoming a member of the 99 Club in Madden 23.
