PGA Tour 2K23 announcement, release dates, and more!
On August 17, the official PGA Tour 2K game account released a very short teaser via Twitter. In the short six-second teaser, fans noted the inclusion of licensed gear and some other potential easter eggs. Now with the announcement trailer finally here, a lot has come together. The trailer features not only stars from golf, including Tiger Woods, but also many crossing over from film, music, and professional wrestling. Money says PGA Tour 2K23 will feature many various brands and cosmetics for several modes. This will likely be similar to how we see brands and items implemented across the NBA 2K franchise in recent years.
Leaked features and cover athlete
Ahead of today’s reveal, some PGA Tour 2K23 features as well as the game’s cover athlete were leaked. Via a store posting on Amazon, PGA Tour 2K23 will feature none other than Tiger Woods on the game’s cover. In addition to the cover, the posting revealed several features including the ability to play as both male and female PGA Tour pros like Woods. The game will also feature Topgolf integration, both in online and local multiplayer. Additionally, returning to the game is the popular Course Designer as well as the game’s online societies that allow custom leagues, seasons, and tournaments.
PGA Tour 2K23 will also have a Deluxe Edition for $99.99 that gives players three days early access, a Michael Jordan Bonus Pack, Deluxe Bonus Pack, 3-Day Early Access, Golden Club Pack, and dual-gen entitlement. According to the trailer, fans who purchase this version can access the game come October 14. Those grabbing the standard edition will need to wait until October 11, just three days later.
