Earlier this month, the Madden Championship Series (MCS) season for Madden NFL 23 wrapped up with the Ultimate Madden Bowl. The tournament was the culmination of months of competitions that saw hundreds of players competing to be the best in the world. In the end, it was 17-year-old Dez who came out on top as the Ultimate Madden Bowl champion and the winner of $250,000.
Ultimate Madden Bowl
Dez’s run to be the best Madden player in the world began in the quarterfinals against Cole. Twenty-one unanswered second-half points helped Dez pull away and win 42-24. Dez wouldn’t play as well in the semifinal game as he threw four interceptions in the game. However, he could still sneak out a 14-13 win to make it to the championship game.
For the final game, Dez was matched up against Henry. Henry was coming off his record-setting 5th MCS belt win and had many calling him the best Madden player of all time. However, Dez was not fazed by this as he got off to a 17-0 lead at halftime. Dez was able to hold and win the game 24-14. This officially put Dez on top of the competitive Madden world.
