Major Gameplay Fix Finally Comes to Madden NFL 24 – Full Patch Notes

EA Sports rolled out another title update for Madden NFL 24 this morning. This latest update features several gameplay fixes. This update also fixes bugs across several game modes and adds new face scans for players.

Major Gameplay Fix Finally Comes to Madden NFL 24

The major gameplay focus with this title update seems to be players catching the ball. This update lowered the ratings threshold needed to catch interceptions on the Competitive gameplay style. While contact can still cause the player to drop the ball, this should help lower the number of dropped interceptions in this one gameplay style.

This update also removes a change from the September update. The September update included a fix to decrease the chance of defenders catching the ball after a QB throws the ball to avoid being sacked. However, this fix resulted in all players, including offensive players, having a lower chance to catch the ball when the QB throws out of a sack. This was unintended and the fix has been removed. The team plans to rework this logic later in a way that will not impact offensive players.

This update also includes several UI and presentation updates. The size of the Passing Accuracy meter was increased. Several new players received face scans in Madden NFL 24, including Sam Howell, De’Von Achane, Isiah Pacheco, and Shaquille Leonard.
