Today, NBA 2K24 received another roster ratings update. This update is the final one before the big Christmas Day showdowns next week. This update includes early MVP candidates, as well as though who are starting to get back on track after a slow start.
Ratings Update
The first MVP candidate to get a boost this week is Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis has been on a tear recently, averaging 36 ppg, 11.5 rpg, and 5 apg since the last ratings update. The Greek Freak’s performance has translated into team success, as the Bucks sit just one game behind the Celtics for the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. For this recent success, Giannis goes up one overall to a 97 OVR rating.
Next up is Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic, who also goes up one overall to a 96 OVR. Luka is again putting up video game numbers, averaging 32.7 ppg, 8.4 rpg, and 9.1 apg so far this season. His team has been up and down through the year, but currently hold the #6 seed in the Western Conference. Doncic’s incredible play so far this year has him within strikiong distance of his first MVP award.
The reigning MVP, Joel Embiid, also saw an increase in this update. Embiid is averaging over 40 ppg since the start of December. The 76ers big man sees what other guys in the league are doing, and isn’t wiling to let the title of league MVP go so easily.
